I heard from a trusted source that Apollo astronaut Rusty Schweickart will arrive Vienna today to attend a Briefing on Asteroid Threat Mitigation at United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs next Tuesday. My husband is in good contact with him, therefore he will try to arrange a meeting or dinner with him. I collect astronauts’ autographs and their messages addressed to Kuwait for my project “Message from Space” to inspire the young generation in Kuwait. So far I have two autographs with messages from the Astronaut Tom Jones, and Ernst Messerschmid. Can you suggest a better name for my project? رسالة من الفضاء؟

I felt compunction for my silence because of my readers’ requests to return back to writing to know my latest updates. Therefore I decided to start this new blog. Many of you know that I was studying Russian language in Russia. My Russian experience failed to meet my expectation due to poor educational quality of the institute, therefore I decided to study only the language preparation course and enjoy my stay in St. Petersburg. Nevertheless I took the chance to visit Star City near Moscow. In summer 2007 I came back to Kuwait, and immersed myself into volunteer work with DASS at Kuwait Science Club doing various activities and organized another International Space Station (ISS) school radio contact for Kuwaiti students. Last August I got married and moved to Vienna. As they say “A picture is worth a thousand words”.
